What is the driving range of an electric vehicle?

The driving range of an EV varies by model, but most modern EVs offer between 250 to 300 KM on a full charge. Our offered models exceed 400 KM in most cases.

How long does it take to charge an EV?

Charging times depend on the type of charger used. A standard AC home outlet (Level 1) charger that comes with every EV can take 8-12 hours for a full charge, while a Level 2 AC charger which can be purchased seperately, can reduce this to 4-6 hours. Fast DC chargers (Level 3) can charge an EV to 80% in about 30 minutes.

Can I charge my EV at home?

Yes, you can charge your EV at home using a standard AC outlet or by installing a Level 2 home charger for faster charging. Some EV owners also use solar panels to offset electricity costs.

How much does it cost to charge an EV?

The cost to charge an EV varies based on electricity rates and the vehicle’s battery capacity. GPLs residential rate as of November 2024 is GYD $43.43 per kWh. What is the lifespan of an EV battery?

EV batteries are designed to last for many years, typically around 10-15 years before you experirnce 20% degredation in range. Most manufacturers offer warranties covering the battery for a specific period or mileage such as 3 years or 200,000 miles.

Are EVs more expensive to maintain?

EVs generally have much lower maintenance costs compared to gasoline vehicles because they have no engine, fewer moving parts and do not require oil changes. Maintenence revolves around brakes and tire changes for the most part.

Can I take an EV on a road trip?

Yes, you can take an EV on a road trip. Plan your route to include charging stations along the way. Many EVs now offer ranges that make long-distance travel very feasible and realistic.
